Chapter 6 - The Footage
The shaky video reveals Diana Harrington meeting with a prominent real estate developer and Captain Miller—Robert’s direct superior at the Sheriff’s Department. They are supervising the illegal dumping of barrels leaking a strange, viscous liquid into the groundwater supply of the new subdivision. Captain Miller is handed a thick envelope of cash. Robert is horrified; the conspiracy reaches the top of his own department, and the man who trained him is the one who wanted his family destroyed.
